Looking for lyric plugin
i went to the plug in site and searched the list of plugins that came up when i looked for lyrics.
i downloaded mad lyrics and winlyrics and i had amrok mad lyrics goes online and gets some of the ones for the songs but they are always messed up and there is no way i could find to edit with it? win lyrics edits nice but it does not go online? i had to tell it where i had already had some lyrics in text files and it finds them. so i guess i have to tell it the url for the online data base? if so that is not good. i cant find any way of making the amrok search for lyrics? so what i am wanting is a plug in that is free of course ![]() and will go out and search the web for the song lyrics and let me edit and save them as every song on the web i have looked for Is WRONG, with the excption of the ones i sent up and or corrected for the sites. i mean come on people how hard is it to sit there and listen to the words then type them out. thanks for your help in finding a plugin that will do what i am looking for. |

I like EvilLyrics the most.
http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=136106 It's not a real plugin though: it's an external prog. But it will notice which song is playing in Winamp and lookup the lyrics on the internet. It will automatically store it on your harddisk, so the next time you don't need to connect. |

ok i kept the one in the first message i called winlyrics by mistake. it is winamp lyrics that is the one that does not go out and search for me automaticly. but that is fine as i am just trying to use it as a lyric viewer for the songs.
i got the evllyrics program to get the lyrics with and that thing does find tons of them although they are all messed up. i mean really messed up. but it gets 80% of them correct NOW the trouble is this? i cant get the saved files to show up in winamp lyrics vierwer? it only finds the txt files that are saved as the title of the song? evl.. lyrics saves the text files as the name of the singer and title of the song? i can not find a option in either program to let me change how either one saves or finds the text files?? i would like to make them both see the same text file name format? can any one here help or suggest a better set up viewer then winamp lyrics. thanks |

I still like and use lyricsamp and winamp ver 3. Its totally unsupported and many of the databases don't connect now but even with the problems it still finds almost as many lyrics as evil. And the formatting and layout are great. I'm looking for the replacement to lyricsamp. Anyone out there looking to remake that plugin for WA5? Anyone know a plug in that can use my current lyrics that I already have?
Thanks, Damon |

i been using e..lyrics the last week or so and it found tons of lyrics only out of 2000 songs there was only 1 that did not need any correction of the lyrics? people dont believe in doing a good job anymore??
anyway it gets lots of them but then some of the songs wont be found unless you remove the artist from the search, but in doing that you really take a chance as it finds all kinds of bad text from message boards or from some sort of onstage play scripts that have nothing to do with the song. so it is best to use the search with the artist and if it dont find any then just save it as a not found. unless you like the rude and vulger text showing up in your searches? although i have found that some stupid igit's out there have rewrote words to some christmas and gospel music and made them vulger. so that is very poor thing to do but whats worse is the lyrics data base people accepted them.
