so I guess my question would be why is it when I got to http://www.shoutcast.com/index.phtml and click on play on not just one but ALL I get the attached error?

Try going to a command prompt and try a: nslookup yp.shoutcast.com as well as a: tracert yp.shoutcast.com

Since www.shoutcast.com and yp.shoutcast.com are seperate virtual domains it is possible you are resolving one but not the other one.

nslookup should show something like this:

Got this when doing nslookup. I WAS able to do a traceroute. I am using a router, does this make a big difference?

I would not think so since the router normally does not effect listening to stations and you are resolving it properly.

Has this always happened or just recently?

Don't really think it has happend before. Usually connect to someones station via a direct link from their website and no out of the ordinary (rebuffering) problems. This is the first time I have gone to the Shoutcast YP to try and browse for a station.

My only other thought would be that something is actually preventing just IE from accessing it like a firewall, antivirus programor such, although both are kida far fetched. Logic would tend to tell me if you can access the site you could download from it.
