send complete id tag to listener

Hi folks,

I don't run a streaming server myself, so my question might be a bit naive, excuse me for that. I searched the forum, but could not find a thread on this topic.

Is ist possible to not only send "Artist - Track" to the listener, but send the whole id tag information? Does the shoutcast stream support this?

It would be awesome, if you could see in your player, from which album the current song is coming from.

id2tag - there's plenty of space there to place the album title before the song title . copy the id2tag to the id1 tag

people will see this --John Doe -my album - song1

THX for the reply, seems like a workaround, the broadcaster would have to change all ID-Tags for that.

There's gotta be a better way. Can't you just tell the streaming server send the whole ID-Tag?

Nope.

shoutcast just doesn't work that way.

Use OGG if you want full tags.
