If you have a dynamic IP (one that changes frequently) I suggest you get a FREE "static" named address at www.no-ip.com

ive tried using one(rivers.madskill.us:8000 & kin.3utilities.com:8000). but the problem still is there. ive updated both sites with my new ip address(218.212.81.226) and ive tried even 218.212.81.226:8000 , they all gives me the following error.

extended error (cannot see ur station/computer(202.156.2.160) )

wad if im behind a proxy, what shld i do?

Question: is 202.156.2.162 your IP, if not then you are behind a proxy, usually implemented by your ISP, this is well known to cause problems with YP services.

Try setting the DNASs YPort to 666.
Check out the DNASs sc_serv.ini/conf configuration file for the section (default shown below):
code:
; Yport, port to connect to yp.shoutcast.com on. For people behind caching
; webproxies, change this to the alternate port (666 is what it might be,
; check www.shoutcast.com if you have problems). Otherwise, leave this at 80.
; We're actively working on re-opening port 666, but as of release the only
; working port is port 80.
Yport=80

I have the same problem, I have a Linksys V3 router. I read the FAQs and it didn't help me. In my router config I have the ports 8000-8002 open. and the last number for the IP thing is .100 (the blank space). It still doesnt work. I keep getting this error

Quote:
<08/12/04@17:21:47> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<08/12/04@17:21:47> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 69.136.65.83:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

micmic, I think we're having the same problem. Follow this guide: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=77606

It may get a bit confusing (it did for me because I have a different type of router). If you have WinXP and a Linksys V3 router and cant figure out that guide email me and ill help you out.
