Was this a disorder?

Alex Jones: Do you want the puppet on the right or the puppet on the left? What a bunch of garbage; liberal democrat, conservative, republican. It's all there to control you! Two sides of the same coin. Two management teams bidding for control, the CEO job of Slavery, Incorporated! The truth is out there in front of you, but they lay out this buffet of lies. I'm sick of it, and I'm not going to take a bite out of it, do you got me?

I wouldn't've mind ending her life at any point in time. People like her make me sick.

Since when can we not express our opinions? Is there somethign specific within that post that you dont' like or do you like calling people noobs and telling them to shut up? He brings up good points you added nothing. Of what use was she? when the phrase "waste of life" is used, it's usually a joke. but in this case she was literally a waste of life.

No sig here folks.

You'd think we'd be able to considering this is a community forum, but apparently not...

O_o Yes, and while reading the last half of the last page I retract my last statement. While she shouldn't be murdered, something really should have been done. And that picture disturbs me.

yeah, i'm back.

It's a disease just like anorexia. If someone in your family had a disease I bet you would be tolerant.

I cant think of any situation where this woman could have "had this done to her" against her own will. You people talk of it as if it wasnt her fault. It was. Even if she had someone with a gun to her head telling her to eat, the person wouldnt be able to stay with her for five years forcing her to eat big macs every day. I suspect it went something like this:

Fat lady decides to give up on life. Sits down of couch. Sleeps there. Next day doesnt want to get up. Picks up the phone and calls someone that she knows will bring her food. Turns on TV. Food comes. Watches TV all day. Sleeps.

...And so the cycle goes, until it becomes routine, and then eventually habit. There is no explainable instance where this woman did this against her will.

...Now, I dont necessarily believe that she deserved to die. She didnt do anything wrong to anybody, she just screwed herself. The point of my post is that she did it to herself. It wasnt as if she was a "victim".

No, neither are something that you "catch", or get by any means of transmission. Both are lifestyle choices that society does not approve of. That's why when someone doesnt live up to the conditions of society they are considered "diseased", or are immediately outcasted. Now, anorexia and chronic obesity are extremes of this, but again: both parties with these "diseases" chose to be this way. Not having the will power to change does not justify a "diseased" tag.

I think that he was trying to state that this was her choice and her fault.

Sounded like he was trying to say psychological illnesses don't really exist and it's just the persons own fault =/

...er, most cases of anorexia are not a choice per se...sure a person chooses to not eat because they think they are fat, but their state of mind is not euthymic. Something or someone somewhere (tramatic experience, learned behavior, enviroment at home, media influence, etc.) has skewed their world view.

There, my little tangent is done.

So now anorexic people and chronically obese people are mentally ill...

...in the sense of the word that they arent completely right in the head. I dont think so. Both of these "diseases" is a biproduct of another happiness. Fat people are happy to eat stuff that tastes good, but by letting themself eat mcdonalds every day they become fat. They're fat because the desire to eat overwhelms the desire to be thin.

Anorexics are happy being thin, but they probably arent happy forcing themselves to vomit after every meal. The desire to be thin overwhelms the desire to eat.
