Internet Radio library in Winamp

Hi all,

do you know when the pb we have in the Internet Radio library of Winamp will be fixed?
When I click on my webradio or on other webradios (Club977 included) in the Webradio library of Winamp I have nothing played in Winamp!
I'm receiving tones of e-mails of my listeners who said to me that they cannot listen my station! I lost 50% of my audience because of that, indeed, 50% of my audience is using only the Webradio library of Winamp and they don't have the reflex to go to the site of my Webradio to click on the "Listen" link because they are thinking that my Webradio is not working!

Am I the only person in the world that complains about that?? ,) Winamp is used by million of listeners in the World and it's a big pb if the Webradio library doesn't work

I hope that Nullsoft will correct that asap, thanks for the job they are doing for the Internet Radio community

Best regards,
Loic

I found a solution, and in fact the bug

By default, in the preferences of Winamp, you have "Max streams to fetch" fixed to 500. You can find this option in "Options\Library\Internet Radio" in Winamp 2.x. For Winamp 5.0x I think it's not too difficult also to find this option.

So when you change this option to any other values except 500 (so 499 or 501 if you want), then, after a refresh in the "Internet Radio" node of the Media Library, you have the good listing of the Webradios !! and when I click on my webradio or on Club977 it's working !!

I made a screenshot of the little dialog box that appears when you click on a radio, in order to cacth the URL called by Winamp. With 500 in "Max streams to fetch", I have this for my webradio:
http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=9703&filename=playlist.pls

With any other values in "Max streams to fetch", I have this:
http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=613114&filename=playlist.pls

and the radio is played in Winamp !! You can see that the id of the station is not good in the first link !

I made also a copy of the "Tune In!" link in www.shoutcast.com, still on my webradio, and I have this:
http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-playlist.pls?rn=613114&file=filename.pls

That's confirm that the current good id of my station is 613114 and not 9703 !!
(I'm asking why the "Internet Radio" list of Winamp doesn't use the same links that the "Tune In!" links of wwww.shoutcast.com ??)

So the bug is when we have 500 in the "Max streams to fetch" parameter of Winamp. Winamp ask www.shoutcast.com for 500 "Internet Radio", and www.shoutcast.com return him a bad list that is not up-to-date.
The pb is, 500 IS the default parameter of Winamp So many people don't know that they can change this parameter in Winamp preferences and so, they continue to do a refresh on a list that is not up-to-date...

I don't think it's a Winamp bug because Winamp is always asking www.shoutcast.com for the data, so perhaps Nullsoft will be able to fix the pb in their database with my post

Best regards,
Loic
