Status.png
I remember reading these forums when I first set up my Shoutcast stream and someone had linked to a pretty cool little script dealio that displayed the current song using a status.png image. There was a few files involved, but the status.png image updated at each song change. I also remember a few people using it for their signatures.
Since my big server crash of '04 I lost those files and can't seem to dig them up again. Anyone have a link to that or a similar simple "Now Playing" script. I just want to display the current song in a small area at the top of my page. (Something besides Radio Toolbox. I'm hoping for something that can run on the server itself.) Thanks in advance... |

Yes, thank you...I looked through that a few times but I couldn't find this particular status application.
Again, I don't want some huge deal here with lots of configuration, it was just a simple script that generated a .png file. I'll keep lookin...thanks. |

If you want something really simple, I suggest roffdawg's script.
If you want one that shows what you're playing in WinAmp (instead of extracting the information from the server), check out www.gerpok.com -- Michael |

Yeah, ruffdawg's script was it. Not sure if it was the original thing, but yeah...that did the trick. Thanks!
