12-hr shifts suck so much ass.
Expecially since I went to work yesterday at 9pm (to get there at 11pm)
got home at 7am today (Sat) slept for about 5 hrs got up at noon worked from 1pm to 6pm went to bed at 7pm Woke up a bit ago at 10pm Will leave at 11pm (15 min) Will work from Midnight 'till Noon and wont get home till 1pm. So yay for my total of 3 hrs of sleep before being up 12 more hrs, for a total of 21 hrs of "uptime". BLAH. But at least I'm getting this soon (already ordered) to make up for it. Plays XviD as well, and has a "hack" to be set to Region 0. And why the hell does potted meat taste so damn good?! I can eat this shit straight from the can, nevermind the bread. Packed 4 potted meat sammiches for lunch tonight.

you've got me beat, my worst 2 day shift ever was a 17-hour shift with a 6 hour turnaround into another 9 hour shift. but the overall worst was 10 straight 9 hour days right before I went on vacation.

my record for longest time without sleep is 75 hours straight. I wanted to stop at 72 hours, but I couldn't get to sleep.

i went 73 hours w/o caffine when i was ten years old... it was for a money drive, so the longer i stayed awake the more money i made. there is no way i could do that now.

I work a lot of crazy shifts....8a-10p and stuff like that. I have a part-time job too, so on two days/week, I usually have to work from 130-1000 then 11p-7a. THAT SUX! Especially when I got to go back in at my primary job at 130p again. Christmas season starts for us on September 29th....omigod...I'm not looking forward to that - it's going to be a lot of 12-14hr days 6 days per week (thank god my second job allows me to take a leave of absense during this season due to my primary job).

these are normal times for me-
walking out of my house at 06.30 am - comming home again at 09.00 pm - having a shower , grab something to eat- goto bed same next morning- and I drive some 600 km a day. (job = truck driver) and this goes on 4 - 5 days a week, depending on how many things there are that need to be delivered. |

Try working from home - 24hr shifts ....at least some sods seem to think so...
other day, just got to bed, after spending 14-15hrs straight and just drifting of to the land of nod when I get a phone call ... PANIC! SCREAM! MY SITE IT'S DISAPPERARED! huh? I'll look...twat had fecking deleted it via ftp. gnnnnn I hate that. I generally keep admin control but site owner wanted ftp access so he could load his own stuff like pics etc. idiot wanted to delete some stuff and ended up deleting his whole folder... result? no bed for me for another 4hrs... Barsteward! ....still it's fixed now and I removed certain priveledges - sod he is. (I'll be dropping him on re-newall guy is a nightmare - got 33 e-mails of him in 3hrs once - crying out loud drove me nuts!) so yeah - I feel for you gogitta

As for the DVD player, When I have free time to waste, I like to waste it well. ![]() Will be strange watching my anime and stuff on the TV. And it's even better bcause I can move it into the living room, where other people can watch movies and such easier.
