[yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched!
I finally managed to get my Shoucast server up and running, but I occasionally get the message "[yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched!".
Anyone know what this means? I've searched the forums and can't find an answer. Thanks. Brian |

touched means nothing more ,nothing less than your data that goes up with the stream has been updated to the yp at www.shoutcast.com

Seems like I was a bit premature. The stream STILL isn't reaching the outside world!
I'm getting really p****d off with this! I've opened what I thought were the right ports in my firewall and forwarded what I thought were the right ports for my router - just had an email from a friend who said he couldn't reveive the stream! Can someone *PLEASE* try http://192.168.0.5:8000/listen.pls and see if it works? This is doing my head in - spent nearly a week trying to get it to work, and it's listed in the Shoutcast directory! Thanks Brian |

192.168.0.xxx is only valid on your LAN. You will need to give out your WAN IP which should be something along the lines of 81.153.96.xxx

Oh Tom! This is driving me mad!
![]() I thought last night I had it figured out when I got listed in the Shoutcast directory and then realised that there was something wrong when I clicked the listen link and got a "Page not found" error on another pc (not on the network). So do I have to do anything with my router and this 81.153.96.xxx ip, like port forwarding ports 8000 and 8001 to this ip? This is all getting too much! ![]() I tried entering http://81.153.96.xxx:8000/listen.pls to listen to the stream and got another "page not found" error - obviously I used the correct ip address above! I'm sorry for all the questions but router and server stuff are all foreign to me! Brian |
