im wondering how do I set about bieng a shoutcast dj? would anyone be a server to help me?

Do you mean DJ'ing on an already established station? Move your post to DJ & Listener Center

The basics are you need a source(like Winamp) and a DSP (Winamp plug in). You do not need to install shoutcast server to be a DJ on someone elses stream.
