Piano Music?
Can someone recommend some good piano music? I'm interested in just piano, not like an orchestra or anything. I always see on a cd for classical music listings for composer, arranger, etc. Is there anything really important besides composer?

Classical stuff:
All things by: Satie (Gymnopedies, Gnossiennes, etc), Debussy, Chopin, Liszt. Look for the original piano pieces, not the orchestrated versions (although I personally tend to prefer the orch arr's.) Some of Beethoven & Mozart's many Piano Sonata's are pretty good too. As for other piano music.... |

Thanks, Egg and siebe. I've never heard of most of those people. This'll get me started in the classical music scene. It relaxes me and the way school's going so far, I'll need a healthy supply of it to make it through the year.

Yeah I know they're all midis, but if you configure Nullsoft's MIDI player input plugin to add reverberation & chorus and set the Synthesizer to anything "with output", they don't sound half bad. This is a sig of some nature. |

If you're just looking for piano music in general, I've played for like 10 years, I could even just set my crappy software to record and play like 10 mins of music or whatever. I play all the time anyway so it'd be no extra effort, and I can do pretty good quality recording (me = audio engineering student also).
I don't play classical though, it's kinda hard to describe what I play cause it's my own style, and that's made up of different styles. I'm not saying it'd be great, but it'd be piano music. |
