Dns Suffix

Hi..great site! Great Community!

SHORT QUESTION: can i configure reqests to include dns suffix?...

LONG QUESTION:
Once I ran a http server on this machine and it wasnt untill my friends entered my DNS suffix after the ip
that they were able to reach the server

wonder if this is the same?...

if so...where do I tell shoutcast server the suffix part

right now...yp reports back..."cant see you man!"

but if it would look in the right place im sure it would
(at least this was the case with the http server)

my ip 69.170.55.70
suffix chvlva.adelphia.net

or 69-170-55.chvlva.adelphia.net

add port, and a few slashes and boom...friends were able to connect to my server.

am I onto somthing?

Im tired of being invisible...

additional ingredients:
behind "switch" ... but still...in the network...
this machine is selling at port 777+

* all firewalls report no blocks...(told them not to)

Im confused aint I
