What I do know is that those planes crashed in the WTC on Sept 11, and on Sept 12, I heard/read the first jokes about it.
It's human nature to laugh at absolutely horrible things. I don't know if it's "ok" but that's the way it is. The sooner you accept it, the better.

Terrorist = person who wants to cause terror, presumably.

Now, some Terrorists fly into a large building because some pussies on a plane don't stop them.

Terrorist + Weapon = BOOM!

Now, we've got two buildings, symbols of America, destroyed. So what, now, is the "correct" reaction?

Is it:

A) Stand there and go "OMG OMG OMG... OMG!"
B) Make some stupid "security enhancements" at airports, causing it to become marginally more difficult to get a knife on a plane.
C) Make so much of a stink that no one can use the abbreviation "WTC" anymore, video games have to be changed in order to avoid offending anyone, "911" is no longer just an emergency number, people have to change merchandise because "it reminds them of the tragedy", etc.
D) All of the above!
E) Repair, rebuild, and get on with life.

It all comes down to your true motive, really. Are you trying to encourage people to give up an unnecessary burden, or are you trying to troll?
