Controlling the audio volume of the server's speakers
Hello
I have a shoutcast server which is serving MP3s to our office via a web interface. The server itself has speakers which we use to listen to the music. We are also using WWWWinamp. Is there a way for us to control the volume of the server from our desks? We all have Macs and PCs, and we'd like to be able to turn down the volume when the phone rings in stead of having to get up and run across the room. A web control would be best, as I could place it on the same page as the WWWinamp playlist, but any solution is great! I'm trying to stay away from VNC-like solutions, because I'd then have to teach my officemates how to use it. It's also not really fast to use on short notice (like phone ringing situations). Any input is appreciated! Thanks ----------Steve |

you can also use remote desktop (assuming your server runs XP Pro or Server 2000/2003)-- not hard for people to figure out.

get a clapper with the speakers plugged into it? may seem funny, but it sounds like a viable solution to me.
