those look cool...
Yea, we love Kenji Kawai. Tan Dun is another great asain film composer. His stuff is pretty profound. If you like Kenji Kawai, you'll most likely like Tan Dun. Yea, stuff does respond pretty well to all that Asain big drum long reverb (ambiance) style stuff. Same with alot of Tan Dun, since he does simular stuff. Although your much more likely to hear old old asain strings in Tan Dun, and much more synthed stuff from Kenji Kawai. Alot of times the Chill Out's Channel on WWW.DI.FM plays some stuff that reasponds really well. (((You know it's funny, as I am a studying Orkestral Composer (I wrote all the classical parts to the Who Am I remix) So I study alot of like 100+ year old books. And all the Western composers say using alot of Percussion was the first sign of weakness with composers.... It's like that might be true... But only because you people don't know preccussion like the Asain's do...))) Eo.S added in some of Krash's beat detection, I think it looks pretty hot... |

O, yea and the most annoying thing ever dude.... Like when we went to asia, and made sure to watch all the movies that would not come out in the US....
So in Thailand we saw 'Shutter' and in Taiwan we saw Police Story 5 (a Jacky Chan film) Both of them had music I wanted to remix and sample. Can't find the english soundtrack though... Maybe they are releised in Asia.... but not over here... And the file name are most likely written in Thai and Chinesse ASCII, if they do exsit, so I can't find them... ![]() (o, yea, and Jon Brian did some phat Asain sounding precussion stuff for Eternal Sunrise of the Spottless Mind sound track) Last edited by Phat; 7th November 2004 at 15:26. |
