Pulsedriver v2?

I have an idea for a skin which will be very similar to the first one I made, and I wonder if you guys think it's a good idea. Things I will have in mind is more 'generic' functionality like easier accessable buttons and such most users prefer.

I have an idea for the shape here:

What do you think?

I thought Version 1 already has been released

The new skin is looking good, i think you could make the buttons better though, the bottom looks good, but the top of the them doesn't have any depth.

The version 1 is not done. It's still missing a lot of different stuff, and one of the big things missing is the shademode, which I got tired of making. By now it's a customizable shademode where you can choose what elements you want to have, but there are so many bugs with it so I got tired of it.

Making a second version is mostly to get back on a project which I have 100% control of what to work with.

PulseDriver was the first WA skin I ever made so I didn't really expect it to be very good.

What I can do, is to remake the whole first skin, so I get all the elements I want in there.

looks great. the highlight on the buttons could use a little touching up. would be pretty cool if the buttons were user customizeable... rearrange the order, add pl/ml buttons, remove the stop button. would make fore a very personal skin

Here is the progress, as I were too late to edit the previous post to be clickable.

Now I can update the images, and click on the image to see the full size which I use when i make it. If you want to see the updated thumbnail picture, and you already have one in your temp internet files, press F5.

the second version isn't worth doing in my opinion, it is way to blurry and its very icky and big. go with the one at the top of the thread.

Must just be me, but I dig the second one a lot more – That volume knob (or whatever it will be) is awesome and would be great with a little red LED type light to show volume position – However, the gray plastic look on the main container and buttons kind of reminds me of a mini-van factory install stereo ~ other than that I vote #2!

I like the 2nd one, but the edges don't need to be that blurry and the black above the display and the buttons is a bit irritating, try to use a dark gray instead.

These are all sketches, so nothing will prolly be like it is now. From the first sketch of my first skin to the outcome, I don't think I had a single piece of the same graphics.

Anyways. I made a new sketch of the second one.

code:
The player playing

code:
The mouse is hovering the player

The menu you see in the display will hover on off as the mouse pointer hovers in and out the area of the player. Much like the volume control of multipass. The buttons on each sides of the display will be multifunctional as of what content the display is showing. Eg. if the equalizer is activated, the buttons will include presets, and a button to return to normal view. I don't know what sort of options I add to this player, but the multifunctional buttons will come in handy there as well, I am sure.
