Are you talking about how one radio station can serve hundreds of listeners?

SHOUTcast server allows you to have a source computer. That source goes to, lets say, 10 other computers, those ten computers each serve lets say 10 people a piece. So your "single" radio station could serve 100 people even though the source can have only 10 computers connected to it.

I know it's more complicated then that, but I've kinda absorbed that info from years reading the forums...

How do you get listeners?

Some key tips:
A) Make a website, and make sure it looks good.
B) Ask for "Sponsorship"
C) Word of mouth
D) Do something unique and original.
E) Make sure to get your listeners involved.

Kick off a promotional event and wear t-shirts with your station's logo and web site address around a heavy traffic area (like the mall).
