Portable MP3 player, need some advice
I know, this topic comes up a lot. I did try searching but came up with very little info on playlists. I use Winamp exclusively for playback on all of our pcs, including the HTPC that plays Winamp through the home theater a/v system, so it would be ultra convenient if I could use playlists my existing playlists. Which players can use either the .pls or .m3u files that you can export from Winamp? The only one that I've seen that can do this are the Iriver iHP-1** series, & that's way more than I need.
Here's what I'm looking for: * Small package, similar to the mini-Ipod in both physical size & storage (I know that the bigger ones are of a better value, but the smaller size makes it more comfy for working out & 4-5 gb is probably more than we'll need for a long time anyway) * Compatibility w/Winamp - this is almost a must. If it can be recognized by Windows as a hard drive, then we should be good to go * Ability to use Winamp playlists (see above) * FM modulator capability & accessory availability (both the truck & car have stock OEM stereos, so no AUX in on those head units) * Ability to hook up to the AUX in port on my Sony head unit in the boat * Decent battery life Basically I'm looking for something that I can use with my existing software & not have to use an app such as Muscimatch to generate playlists. Everyone is stuck on the Ipods, but I don't think that they'll use the Winamp playlists. (Yes, I'm probably one of 11 people on the planet that doesn't have iTunes installed, let alone use religiously.) I'd also appreciate any recommendations on a flash player that would meet the same requirements (this would be for my husband). Thanks in advance. |

So it looks like the playlist support that I'd like is really limited. How is it that you set up playlists on these things?

My Iriver player seems to do what you want.
