Doing this for the first time...

Hi, everybody.

So, I can't figure out why my server is disconnecting. If somebody could give me some help, I would be greatly appreciated. Here's what the log says when it has an error:

<12/11/04@12:42:39> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 24.107.130.220:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

Also...what's the address for people to listen to me? I know it involves my IP address, but that's about it.

Thanks

Are you on Windows XP? Are you behind a router?

**********

Link using this format: http://yourIP:yourPORT/listen.pls

Replace "yourIP" with your IP (which you can find from the hosting machine here) and "yourPORT" with your portbase as defined by your DNAS (server) config file. The default is 8000.

Disable your XP Firewall.

You'll need to forward ports through your router. Try checking your router's documentation/FAQs/site for info on that. If you can't find anything, post your router's make and model.

Try going to http://192.168.254.254 and looking for "Virtual Server" and setting one up for your SHOUTcast ports.

Uggh...that stupid http://192.168.254.254 link is not letting me get in. It keeps 404'n me, so I can't set up a virtual server when I can't get in.

Oh...I forgot to tell you that I also have Norton's. If I have to, where can I allow Norton's to open the port?
