Christmas is Evil!!!

It seems that as Christmas draws near I have more and more bad luck befalling me…

I spent at least 6 hours and 1,800 frames on a flash animation ment for my friends and family as a Christmas greeting….

On the eve of Christmas eve, I attempted to e-mail it to everyone I know, majority having a hotmail account…

There, disaster struck…

My flash was 4.2 Mbs….
Hotmail provides only 2Mb of storage…

U couldn’t imagine the shock, horror and disappointment I suffered… (watch a soap opera to get a clearer picture)

So basically, I wasted a load of my time… with the intentions of sending the Christmas joy and spirit, Santa hypnotized Bill Gates and left me really reallllllyyy fucking pissed…

So I hope you’d feel how evil Christmas is and throw all your gifts away.

the compression will far beat the self extaction code.
Just did it myself
from a 5.16MB .psd to a 1.72 mb .exe
7zip self extraction code is a little under 80K

PSDs are not already compressed, at least, not well compressed. SWF files (flash) are.

Using 7Zip 4.13:

LZMA SFX, Ultra: 3,691,299 bytes

PPMd SFX, Ultra: 3,691,299 bytes

BZip2,    Ultra: 3,582,759 bytes (no SFX)

Deflate,  Ultra: 3,567,883 bytes (no SFX)

Using WinRAR:

RAR SFX, "Best": 3,618,311 bytes

RAR,     "Best": 3,575,416 bytes (no SFX)

The file is already well compressed.

[edit] Even if you could save 25%, it really makes no difference - a 3MB file doesn't fit any better into a 2 MB mailbox than a 4MB one. That's the point. [/edit]
