3 Listeners, Same Server, One Stream??
For the "beta testing" of my station (MZONEradio), some people in my work are listening.
So, usually 3 PCs are connected. I look at Shoutcast (not immediately, but throughout the day) and it only counts the 3 as one listener because they are all coming from the same IP. So are three streams coming from my server, or is one stream coming here and getting duplicated? With my hosting company, they are also "confused" too. So if all 80 PC's in this building were listening to the station, the stream host would still have alistener count of 1/100. Anyone wanna explain? haha |

it should say
3 listeners (1 unique) if of course your work have a proxy that is doing the duplication, but doubtful, then it would show 1. BW Without open minds the world will die. Open yours and correct the mistakes you are making right now. |

ahh yes ... that is a normal thing
Yellow pages only shows the unique listeners, as that is the fairest way of showing it, (according the the yellow pages) So some stations who have a large listener group behind the same firewall etc, are lost in the numbers ...
