actually, post count wasnt removed from the thread listings so that people wouldnt know the postcount, or to prevent post pumping, its was actually removed to prevent people from using postcount to make assumptions about the person they were replying to.

Granted, you still get the occasional "You're only a junior member!", cant win them all i suppose.

There are a lot of people here who make asinine assumptions about others because of thier behavior, ideas, and post count. *wink wink nudge nudge* No one is too sacred to have made a few bad descisions and comments based on someone elses comment.

I for one wouldn't want the task of vetting everyones custom title to make sure they didn't enter some asinine comment in it, how would you feel if a broadcaster who didn't like you had a ct of something like "spaceplay sucks donkey weenie"

Mods would be forever checking titles to make sure they didn't cross the bad taste line, checking each new member to make sure theirs wasn't spam etc etc.

Yes you could probably filter them to not allow certain words , but there are lots of creative ways of spelling these days.
