Intel High Definition
Select wich output line to use on intel new HDA boards,
and to be able to play 2 songs at the same time but on diferent channel outputs (dvd on the livingroom, music on the bedroom) |

see if you can change sound output by:
in winamp: ctrl+p plugins > output configure directsound under "device" tab > use dropdown box. And to play two different things, you would have to have multiple instances of winamp running. Quote:

not enough options
I only get the HD rear output cannot select any other otput
I checked with Intel.com and I guess it has to be programmed http://www.intel.com/cd/ids/develope...044.htm?page=5 so you can get all the options since windows by default doesnt recognize them. |

I have the Giga-Byte 8I915 duo-pro (that uses Intel hi-def audio) and I can tell you I can do it. I had to install the c-media azilla codec. Then, in the control panel, under "CMI audio config," I had to select the checkbox for "Enable Multiple Streaming" under device settings. After a reset, it worked (in the bios I had front panel audio set to AC97, which also had to be set to HD Audio.) So, I guess it depends on your motherboard manufacturer.
