Multiple instances of winamp pushing to seperate DNAS ?

Setup is as follows:

2 x DNAS (with different instances) on 1 x Windows XP box
2 x Instances of Winamp 5 each on a seperate virtual desktop
2 x Winamp DSP each pointing at there own DNAS playing different playlists from each Winamp instance.
1 X soundcard

The problem:

Both streams play fine from anything to 30 seconds to a minute, then both start cutting out but the winamp player doesn't display that it is buffering.

I have checked both DSP's and DNAS's and both appear fine, no drop in connection, 3 other people have tested it and get the same thing so it's not my net connection.

The PC spec is a 1.7 Gb Intel with 1Gb of RIMM memory and a 120Gb hard drive, CPU is running at between 30% - 40% and 246Mb is utilised, the swop file is aroun1024 - 1074 Mb.

The server has a 100Mb link straight into the core network of an ISP (don't ask) so bandwidth is not an issue at the server end.

Does anyone have any ideas as to whay this is happening and if possible, i guide to running multiple instances of winamp and the DSP plugins.

Having searched throught the forums it may be that the soundcard is at fault and each instance is fighting over who gets to use it so i am going to have a look for some sort of vrtual sound card device / stacker.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I think i hav e fixed it. Looks like both instances were fighting over the soundcard, i've set them both to use the null output plugin, which i didn't realise came with Winamp 5 and they seem to be working fine....

So if anyone else comes across this issue, try the null output option !

Been running now for about four hours skip and buffer free....

Have added dialup support for each stream and these work too...
