uhh .. newbie alert

Yeah okey so like ... i started my own little project to make my own radio stuffs .. and so im kinda new and all .. and i guess i somewhat understand the royalties stuffs .. but what does it mean if i want to play like japanese music or something .. are they registerd with the RIAA and all that other stuffs? Sry i might have read it but just passed over it or something. Does the RIAA and all that only count for American artists?? Or what ..

You have to pay royalties if it is copyrighted or gain specific permission from the copyright holder to play it for free.
