latest winamp Can't connect to server
Hi, I have winamp install on my home pc. using win. xp. I've install winamp as instructed, and as am trying to start my live streaming broadcast from my sound card, NO Luck! I've click Ctrl-L, then put "linein://" yes my sever is still down. Also on the main tab, everything I tried to connect, I kept see the disconnect button keep flickering "disconnect/kill" "disconnect/kill" over and over again. It's like it's having a problem connecting. Can you please tell me what causes that. Do you thinking in the IP address box I should start it with "http://"? because I only put the address, then the port # in the port box, and then the password. Please help me!! I wish to put my talent to good use!!!
Many Thanks in advance: [Edit --> Nunzio390] Please Read the Stickies before posting > SHOUTcast Help? READ ME! Posted in wrong forum. Moved from Winamp Tech Support to SHOUTcast Tech Support. |

No you shouldn't put 'http://' or anything else before the host name. If you are hosting the server on the same computer as shoutcsst is running try simply entering 'localhost'.
