Win95 skin?

You remember, Windows 95.

Any ideas or skins which at least have the same grey tone would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

edit: ..I mean, here's a Windows 95 skin!

I'm pretty sure there are tons and tons of them.
But if you want a skin that really matches Windows...

heh, thanks for the laughs and the skin. i think i'll stick with the 95 one for now, though, as it matches up against the start bar much better.

as for..

well, I don't really. Although I do have to admit it's a very efficient theme and it's extremely undistracting, unlike 99.99% of the other themes out there. and besides, i used 95 much longer than i used xp.

But basically, I can't find anything better. The grand warehouse of XP skinning is extremely lacking in the practicality and aesthetic aisle.

If you have any ideas, please, I beg.

I never believe people when they say they can't find a suitably functional skin. I'm sure we can find you one that is functional enough for you without needing to be as generic and boring as a windows95 skin. Firt off, try these for size:

Are any of those suitable? If not, then what is it exactly that you find most lacking in them? what particular areas of the average skin are for you problem areas?

(and yes, there was some shameful own-skin-pimping involved in those links, I admit it)

I think he meant skins for Windows XP, besides the basic old windows style. Since he uses that style he wants a winamp skin that matches it.

Oh, ok. Then I'd recommend getting windowblinds, because there are a whole lot of great windowblinds skins that look much cooler than the XP and actually have some functionality enhancements on the XP interface....and many windowblinds skins have matching winamp ported skins, which tend to be the most functional winamp skins around.

One Question for you luigi...The EQmain.bmp file of your Dedd linxx skin...is cropped i guess....when i move the EQ sliders down and up, there's some kind of error...Does it happen everytime you crop the file? The effect in your skin is awesome ...if we think that windows Sucks :P...

Yeah, that mess of an effect does happen to any cropped eqmain. It's because winamp gets all confused when it doesn't have the bars there. I just exploited the glitch to my advantage.
Stillwater gave me a hard time because he didn't believe I did it on purpose

yea :P i notice it...is it because you left just a half of the bars in there? would it happen the same if i crop just the second line of bars? maybe when the programe uses them...but not when it doesn't because winamp refreshes the images...
