Useful feature: Gap between tracks

Hi, just a thing that I would find useful in Winamp:

Between tracks (mp3/mod/cd, whatever), a gap of between 5-10 seconds.

The reason for this is that if I were recording a playlist of tunes to minidisc, with syncro recording turned on, it needs to hear silence for a few seconds before assuming the track has ended.

Perhaps this could be implemented in a plug-in, and perhaps it has already been done. Anyone have any pointers ?..
