I would also like to see Winamp’s visualization plug-ins take on the same form as the audio I/O plug-ins. There is an evident advantage (to the viewer) to using this layout. For example, the way Winamp uses the audio I/O plug-in system is: in MP3, out to Disk; or in WMA, out to Direct Sound. The way the visualization could use this is: in Winamp AVS, out screen #1 (Windows 98 allows multiple, simultaneous video output. . .multiple screens, multiple visualizations) and maybe even an output plug-in that would change visualizations every so many seconds or to the beat.
