If I have two or more computers linked by a LAN, I'd like Winamp to be able to play a shared MP3 in sync on any or all of the systems. This would be useful around the house when I want to listen to the same music in several rooms.

Thanks.

Hey, it's realy easy to realise that !
Install the shoutcast server, and the dsp plugins for shoutcast in winamp than you can stream whit one winamp "station" to your server (whit a high bitrate .... 128 -160 kbps (you will need a fast computer to encode 300 MHz and more & a encoder (xing, frauenhof or the free ones))+ you can have the shoutcast server & winamp installed on the same computer)
Then you can listen to that stream trough
each computer in your network, you have only to press "STRG + L" and then you have to enter your shoutcast servers iport (you can configure the port)... now you are abel to hear sync. music in your network (and you can even allow others to listen to your stream trough the i-net)
