ok. i've got a remote server running either icecast or shoutcast, depending on what people here tell me.
WTF do I tell peolpe to connect to??????
is it http://address:8001
or http://address:8001/
or http://address:8001/[tellmewhatfilenametouse].???
or http://address:8000
etc etc etc

I had it working for WTF Radio on mindsay, but one day it just stopped working. To this day, I still can't get it where people can connect. They get "error syncing with mpeg stream"

PLEASE HELP ME!!@!$#@!!

http://address:port/listen.pls for shoutcast

http://address:port/mountpoint.mp3.m3u for icecast

error syncing can mean the server is full
hence some times people can not connect

do a search for "error syncing with mpeg stream" and you can see the different reasons for getting this error

Hi,

What you might wanna do is put all of your server addreesses in a single .PLS file and let people use that. This way, you are free to change servers at your will and not have to worry about anything. Need more info on how to do this? Contact me on AIM: UrbanHitzNY
