I think WinAmp should come with an optiion of deleting duplicate entries. All too often to I add a directory to find it somehow or other added a file twice. I would LOVE to have a button that detects and deletes those darn duplicates. Or even better, have it smart enough to regognize a duplicate file (same file name/size, etc) even when it's in a different directory. Oh my god that would make me happy.

I try to be more specific.
The button should bring up a sialogue box (similar to the windows search) where you can give the options:
- Search for duplicates with exact the same name
- search for duplicates with similar names
- include same filezize
- include Song lengh.

The last one might bring huge results on huge lists, but that's why you can switch it off.

The results should show up like this:
Song Name - Interpret (Drive:\folder\filename.mp3)

Where the Song Name - Interpret option should look like in the Playlist (specified in Input-Plugin MPEg Decoder)

I agree totally with DigiTalk - those options would be so helpful when trying to get rid of those duplicates which seem to crop up everywhere!

Thanks guys

Well, the button should be programmed to automatically check for similarities that are 100% related, because this would remove the most irritating type of duplicates, the ones where you accidentally load the same file twice.
