I have been in that situation many times before, and I will probably be there once one am rolls around tonight.
After this post I think I will go lay down and just try to relax, after a little while I will get bored enough that I will fall asleep (I hope) |

Hope you fell asleep Missy, I've been on a double-shift at work, started 15:00 and went home 07:00 today... I am dead tired so i think I won't have any problems. Gonna hit the showers... and go to bed... laterz and try to read something. Always works for me.

what I usually do is turn off all lights and other noises and make it as quiet and dark as possible then. Then I close my eyes and think of something relaxing and comforting. It can take as long as a half hour but I usually finally get to sleep. Just keep your thoughts relaxed and try to focus on the center of your head behind your eyes.

I love it being pitch dark, but the silence is deafening. I have a fan or AC going to produce a lull hum.

I can't sleep either. But I'm going to try right now. Again. Ironically enough, earlier I was trying to read a book, and couldn't help almost falling asleep, but after I finished reading, instead of letting myself go to sleep, I had to be an idiot and get back on the computer O_o bah.

You're up too? I thought I was the last one up this late in Atlanta.

I know how it is to be an insomniac, I used to be one. I wouldn't sleep for 32 hours and I still don't sleep too long.
Missy: A trick I used was I would drink some Hot Cocoa right before I went to bed. That always made me tired or prepared for bed. Since most of it sounds psychological, you might want to train yourself to drink hot cocoa to get yourself tired. Even though I am young, I have already conditioned myself to get tired after drinking hot cocoa. It worked. -Duane |
