Broadcasting Problems

Well first I have searched through the forums , and used the search tool to help me with this problem but no cigar for me.

This is my problem

Im getting the same error that many other people have, that you cant send out the IP adress due to firewall ext ext.

I am running wireless internet through Netgear (which I guess is a router) to a airport extreme that then connects to my cable box.

Ive tried disablaling my firewall.

Im thinking its the router, its a wg111 model. But I dont know how to make avalible ports.

according to the netgear site your model
wg111 is nothing more than a wireless usb adaptor there is nothing to configure there, you need the box the hooks up to the cable modem or adsl modem.

internet connection - modem -- router -- adapter -- computer

you need to know two things
brand and model of the modem
brand and model of the router

and check if they have a build in firewall. (xp does have one)

The WG111 is a wireless USB card

It is not a router. You need to config the device that your WG111 is talking to - probably the airport extreme. Use spaceplay's link to portforward for configuring the airport extreme.

Brand and Model of router is - airport extreme
