DJamp Version Beta 2.1

from my beta testing and some others in the msanget group on yahoo groups. beta version testing is going good.

works in win98 winMe and winXp those are all i can test on
and i cant test shout cast i have too slow a connection.

following is a list of what is still not working in the newest version.

the bug of the comma's, periods and the msagent pause code needing to
be in the comment line just like i discribed in the help page for the version 2 of djamp is still there.

the bug of the msagent server needing to be restarted by the task scheduler every 15 minutes or less just like in the older version help page i did is still there in the beta version. but i think that will always be there because it is not part of djamp it is trouble caused by msagent program.

and it is what causes the djamp to crash if you use lower percentage of chance the agent will annouce the song title.

it has a bug in it that will not let it save the new percentage of the chance it will announce a title, and when you set it to a lower percent it will work until djamp randomly changes agents then it goes back to the default that was programed in to the exe.
changing it in the registry and closing and restarting djamp seems to fix it.

it seems to be a bit buggy in the trigger comments it will see the trigger word and read the trigger comment then play the song and after the song is played if the comment for the next song has the variable of previous title or previous artist it will read the same trigger word for the song it just played and announce that same trigger comment and then play the next song.

what seems to be and what is fixed :

the error of the short amount of text characters in the comment line seems to have been fixed.
as there are now more then 117 which i found was it for version 2 comments.

winamp uninstalling instead of starting is fixed.

reloading of the triggers is fixed

gui is improved.

djamp runs over 24 hours with out causing a crash as long as you use the task scheduler to restart the agent server, so this is good.

need some more beta testers to report on it. you have to get the beta version from the msagent group on yahoo at.

Djamp Beta Version 2.3

don johnson has put a new beta version out he is on 2.3 now for his djamp.

i am testing it and i have also put it in the yahoo groups beta test folder. you can get to the group by the link in the first post in this thread.

he has changed the program engine and other things as well as fixed or tried to fix some bugs

i have found a few different ones now.

will still need more beta testers willing to test and report their findings to the group for don to get and he might just get this new version 3 ready in a couple days or weeks. he is getting close now.

editing in.

I forgot to tell you one of the major feature updates is the limit of triggers and comments. this new beta version 2.3 now has the limit set to 5000 comments and 5000 trigger words.

gives us lots more options that way

finished with editing in.

since there is almost 500,000 downloads of his version 2.0a plugin.

i would say there are lots of lurkers that like the program and do like the updates even if they don't post a reply.

and there are several in the yahoo group that like it. plus from the amount of new people joining the yahoo group and then leaving the group i would say there are lots comming from here to get it and then leaving the group.

so in answer to your question mr. jones

No.

that is a bad thing i agree with you. only i am not a programmer and did not know if don could fix that agent server stuff.

but that is in the 2.1 beta version.

the new version is 2.3 and that agent server task scheduler thing seems to have been fixed by don.

so it is not needed in the newest version. which is still unknown when don will release it.
