Stats for songs how to reset them?

ok i know it has to have been asked before but i could not find the one i wanted when i searched for it.

so does anyone know a plug in for winamp or some script for winamp free version that i can use to remove the number of times played for each song and reset it back to zero,

it is starting to play a limited number of songs and not play any others at all? i can only guess it is picking the most played and playing them.

it just will not add any new ones to its list so i am looking for something for me to go in and reset the played times stats

thanks

I don't believe the playcount of a file influences the number of times it will be played in any way...

But to answer your question, you can change the playcounts by using Playcount modifier, part of shane's Sexy plugins pack.

My experience says otherwise...

thanks guys i knew it was somewhere

yep i have set all the ratings to 100 for all the songs and it still wont play some of them just keeps playing the most played ones and it keeps adding them and so the song lists are shrinking so it has to be the number of times played that is doing it.

So you have the file ml_plcount.dll in your Winamp\plugins folder now?

Select some files in the Media Library, right-click them > Send to: > Play Count Set...
Then enter the new number, eg. 0, and press OK.

Note that there's another feature which keeps track of played files as well, under Recent Items in the Media Library. That list (and its playcounts) is independent from the ML database (and its playcounts) in the Local Media views. You can just remove all files from that list by right-clicking them > Remove from recent list.
You can even disable Recent Items completely:
Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Media Library > tab Media History

If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.
