YASQ:Yet Another Setup Question
I 've read a lot of previous posts about running shoutcast behind a router but I didn't find anything new or anything that might solve the problem. I have a router and I portforwarded the required ports (8000-8003) to the ip of the pc shoutcast is serving.I gave full authorazation from ZoneAlarm (Access/Server trusted)to sc_serv.exe and I did the same to winamp (although I don't think is necesairy for winamp) . I now shoutcast is configured well and running since I tested it in the local network and runs great! The problem is that remote users cannot access it. Although they are able to see the webinterface (which means that the port forwarding is working well since the 8000 port was forwarded to the shoutcast server) they get connection timeout with the http://my-ip:8000/listen.pls . This is really strange and I went through the whole config file of shoutcast but didn't find anything that can relate to the issue. Any ideas why this is happening?

I will try to remote desktop and try to connect myself through their computer to see if it's their problem and not mine. It doesn't make sense to be my problem since everything is set correctly...I think! |
