Help naming new skin

Hi,

I could use some help naming my new (not to mention first) skin...

Any ideas? I was thinking of something like At The Beach or Seashore.

Yeah, it's my first skin and I'm really just trying to figure out how it all works.
+ The whole thing is made in MSpaint :P

It still looks cool though, right?

Besides, you guys did such a great job on the base skin, who could even come close to making a better one?

You've gotta be joking!

The base skin is ugly. And just about anyone can make a more aesthetically pleasing skin if they have an ounce of creativity. Unless they just make a re-coloured version of it, of course.

To give credit where it's due, this is one of the better re-coloured base skins I've seen - the colour scheme you are using is quite nice. However, since there are still plenty of unchanged base skin elements in it (numbers, pledit area, many of the buttons), it suffers from the Frankenstein disease, as do most such skins.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fiddling with the base skin to learn the skin engine, as long as it's only a means, and not an end

Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.

To a certain extent, yes.
I was looking at the base skin and decided to see what it would look like inverted, so I tried it, and it looked good
For most of it though, I have had to edit it myself, the inversion was just the inspiration...

hehe, I didn't even realise it was just inverted
Keep playing, though let me suggest that you drop the base skin and start playing with Skinner's Atlas instead - it's a template that all of us use to start skins from:

Well, however I made it, I think it looks cool, and this is a good time to release it (first days of summer, and the skin looks like a beach)

Make sure you don't submit it to winamp.com it'll be rejected, we are no longer taking base skin re-colours.

I use XP, and I've never had that problem. Are you trying to create a WSZ file straight from Winzip? If so, don't - just create it as a ZIP and rename it afterwards.

I'm not sure if Devart would take it.....

Anyway, don't expect rave, or even good reviews wherever you submit it. And, on most sites, you shouldn't expect reviews at all, it'll most likely be ignored.
