Wireless Network Problems

Hi

I have been using ShoutCast for a few months and it has been working fine.

I have recently changed to a wireless network with a built in modem. This computer is the main computer for the network.

I have got the internet explorer working, limewire, FTP upload, WinMX and other programs working fine. In a few programs I have had to change the port to 80 (internet).

I have had a quick go at changing the ports but I don't know what I am messing with. Just guessing. So I have reinstalled the ShoutCast Server so it is set to the default stuff. I have also allowed ports 8000 and 8001 on the network settings, but no sucess.

Been looking at other messages posted but I haven't got a clue.

ShoutCast no longer works.

What can I do to get it working?

what does your log say?

Turn off your router's firewall and use a firewall like ZoneAlarm if you absolutely need one. Definitely check not just your Shoutcast log but also your router's log and try putting shoutcast on a port other than the 8000's.

Tucker , in order for Tyros to hijack a thread-->

the thread needs to be started by someone else, in this case he is replying in his own thread.

since it's the most common error people get when trying to use shoutcast with a router or firewall it is closely related to shoutcast.

the only thing wrong here is that Tyros started a second thread that is almost identical to the other. in this case The only thing done wrong by Tyros is-->

I have, but like a highwayman i appear , strike and disappear again in the woods of the 'Bin'
