U know wat i thought id get some kind of response, almost all the threads ive read on here so far have been unconstructive, stating things like, why shud i help u if ur not prepared to help urself and read a bit...

For that reason, in spent about an hour researching my problem on here and on google, and couldnt find anything specific to my error, which is why i posted.

I quoted the person earlier for the reason i simply didnt understand what he meant, as i also explained. Like i said i wasnt sure what he meant be my site.. I dont have a public website running, so i can only presume he meant the ShoutCast presented page, and due to that i can only presume he meant the listen button, as you can see they were all presumptions...

And due to all this you have now made me go way off fuckin topic, and lose all enthusiam to post....

Thats the thing about forums nowadays, you have people on them that think they are some wat god like, just like you, wen in reality ur probably some fuckin geek trying to come out of ur shell, just waitin for the chance to jump down someones throat cos some fuckin chap at work, hung u up on his coat hook.

i dunno if i have earned the respect but i still respect you spaceplay, mrs_squid, djspinnercee and i regaurd all of you as the highest members here. also i was never a n00b because if you look at my first post i asked an intelligent answer and searched before i posted. i gave all of the info i needed but when n00bs ask questions like this:

This is not a school yard or a harlem street gang its a Help Forum. see the clue is in that first word there..? Help. thats what it is all about, helping people, giving information when asked for. It costs nothing!

Sometimes you see more time and effort going in to a post thats just pissing all over someone than it would have taken to actualy answer the question positively in the first place.
Now that is a very sad state of affairs indeed but all too common on these forums lately.

i dont think he will be liked versus the other guy whose helping the poor newbie..we were all new..and posting that 1st question is tough..cause you get bitched out alot if you type it wrong or dont search ill admit i have been hard on newbies..but they found there answer either way

Thats just passing the buck and not facing reality.

I'll tell you what's wrong with forums nowadays. people who cannot speak appropriate language, abbreviate where abbreviation not required, expect something for nothing, are generally not articulate enough to get their point across, and have an attention span rivalling that of a goldfish.

This forum, the shoutcast documentations, and the internet at large have a vast wealth of information available to the informed masses.

Those willing to invest at least a short amount of time becoming learned in those few technologies that Shoutcast makes use of get rewarded. Those who would rather shortcut (usually causing the most grief to themselves and others) get what they deserve.
