WinAmp playlists and MP3 CD's

does any one knoe how to make a WinAmp playlist and put it on a MP3-CD with out stuffing up the order of songs.
because MP3 is treated as data the files get put in alphabetical order so a burning program needs to put a number in-front of each song to enforce the order.
does any one know of a program that will do this and that will read a winamp playlist. or does any one have an idea of saving a playlist with winamp with these numbers infront of each track.

You cannot use Winamp to burn Data CDs. But there is gen_yar which says it has the ability to "Option to add number to the copied file names."

or if the burning app you do use is worth it's salt then it should support a dedicated mp3 mode and so should be able to create the cd based on a loaded playlist (m3u/pls)

Dr O i'm using nero-6 it does support a dedicated mp3 mode and is able to create the cd based on a loaded playlist (m3u/pls) but it changes the order of the songs.

drewbar that little plugin looks promising i'll check it out and let you know how it works.

there must be some one out there who does this though, can you please tell me what you do?

i think it might be because i have track number in the file name, all the "one's" get put together then the "two's" and so-forth in alphabetical order as well, i just go to make mp3 disc add a playlist and and bang the order is lost. i'm, just a little pised, off that it works for you using the same programs. i will do some experements and let you guys know what i find

nero will keep the track order in a audio cd but not in a mp3 cd. gen_yar sounds like a great plugin but i can not get it to work in winamp 5 or winamp 2. how do the restof you do it?

Try this version of gen_yar instead to see if that one works better.

And there's Playlist-Unpacker, but I didn't try that plugin myself yet.

Good Winamp plugins by Joonas, DrO and shaneh.
If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.
