Haviing some problem

Okay I am an absoloute n00b so heres the problem

I have downloaded the plug ins and the other program and set it up, I go into Winamp and connect, it connects but on the Shoutcast program it says it cannot connect to my computer, the IP it says it is trying to connect to is not the one I enetered and I dont know how it got there...

If this is not the problem would it be because I am on LAN?

Hi - any way you could post the shoutcast DNAS log, so we can see the actual error message?

No - that's okay. The source is Winamp... and it's connecting fine to the shoutcast server, so don't change a thing there.

But... what's happening is that you have a router or modem that isn't allowing internet traffic to reach your shoutcast stream. That's where you need to do some work.

Mrs_Squid points you to her (nak) error fix. Go find out what type of router you have (linksys, D-Link, or whatever) and configure it to FORWARD port 8000 to your shoutcast server's 192.168.1.xxx address.

Once you have done that, then people on the internet will be able to hear your stream.
