I tried going to my outgoing IP adress's firewall settings to allow port 8000 through 8081 to be let through, but it did not seem to work. Any suggestions?

Yes - configure your router to *forward* port 8000 to the private IP of your shoutcast PC, and turn off all PC-based firewalls (like the XP built-in firewall, for example)

For forwarding ports, go to http://www.portforward.com with the make/model of your router or DSL modem. They'll walk you through it.

I did all that but my server is telling me otherwise. Is there anything in my configuration that would help?

Hmm - nothing in the logfile you posted indicates that Port 8000 is being forwarded. You might want to recheck your forwarding, and also make sure the router doesn't require a restart for the changes to take effect....

This Is The Main Reason Why My Station Does Not Exist Online

This port forwarding issues is what is keeping true and great DJ's, talk show hosts off air. I really need help to port forward an open port just to get a test broadcast on just to make sure it works, just to see if one or more of my friends could hear me. I have could have been on the air since 2009, but no, these port forwarding difficulties is keeping me isolated. I am going to get someone to help me one day.

port forwarding is probably the simplest issue to resolve, just ask someone with a passing knowledge of networking

"If you don't like DNAS, write your own damn system"

So I did
