S. FL & Bellsouth
Hello, anyone using shoutcast in the S. FL area with Bellsouth DSL as their ISP?
If so, did you have any problems opening port 8000 & 8001? What did you do to fix it? Thanks in advance... Ant |

You open 8000-8001 on your end. Do you have a westell modem by any chance? Also, do you use a router?

If you have a Westell (2100) modem, type in 192.168.1.254 into your browser of choice and click "expert mode" at the bottom left. Then click advanced configuration > services > custom service > port forwarding. Type whatever in the 'name' field, and your computers IP (not the routers IP) in the 'IP' field. Enter 8000 in the 'ports' field, select TCP, and your done.
If you have a router PM me and I'll help you get situated. |

I do have the westell modem. Damn Bellsouth! Well, that is most likely what my problem is. I'll make the necessary changes when I get home and hopfully I'll be up and running...
Thanks everyone... Ant |
