There are so many bands and artists, and scince I consider myself a music addict, i am always looking for something new to hear, consume, and even feel. I listen to alot of bands/artists but havent' herad everything from a lot of artists/bands yet.(main reason for this is I HAVE 56k-not for long though) so anyone i'm trying to continaully expand my musicial horizons by listening to more and more stuff... I was wondering if everyone could help me here. I have been coming to this site for a while but haven't really signed up, cus i already go to alot of differant music related sites and forums.(though i still want to find more sites to help me find new music,and stuff like that--i'll get to that in another thread).

ok sorry about that... most of the above doesn't make much sense and prob most could care less. just wanted to give you some background info about me.

I hope this will be one more site i can use to discover more new music, and musical knowledge in all aspects of what it is.

First off, i would like to thank you guys for welcoming me here. Second, i'll try and give you some more info about me.

1)What kind of music do you like?
Basically i like it all... some more than others.
I started off really likeing Rap, and still on occasion listen to older Rap from the 90's and early 00's and also listen to some underground rap. mainly rappers like 2pac, Nas, Biggy Smallz, Canibus, Kayne west, Jay-z(older stuff).

I listen to alot of rock/Metal and thats where my main interest lies. But all aspects of rock and metal. I try to hear it all if i can, and take what i can from it. Liek i enjoy rock infuced with a little electronica. which get me to that I also like electronica, some dance/trance type music. Some industrial. orchestra type music. soundtracks and movie scores.

Lots of ALT.rock and indie.

2)i'll post later. but like i said i try to hear everything. I made an old list of all the artists/bands that appear more than once in my playlist(which needs to be updated, scince i said i have 56k if you know what i mean.)

3)Well i'm 18 years old, and live in the US, New york/New Jersey area. I just graduated H.S. and am going to college next year. I also play some guitar, and am trying to learn piano.
