Need help!

OK right...

I'm using the address 127.0.0.1 since I am on a network...

I can listen to my radio through http://127.0.0.1:8000/ but only I can, nobody else. So how do I let others listen to it? I've tried using my actual IP but Firefox says connection refused. :/

Also, when that is all repaired, how do I replace my IP with a host name? E.g instead of it saying http://myipaddressort/ I would like it to be e.g http://my-web-radioort/

Can anybody help? :P

Thanks!

when running on a network this means you are behind a router and modem

some modems and routers are missing a simple function called local loopback which means you can Not listen to yourself when using your real ip adress.

provide a link please with your real ip adress ( www.whatismyip.com or www.mijnip.nl) and we'll see for you if you are up and running.

remember than in case of a router you need to forward ports.
( see top sticky called NAK ERROR)

comes up with nothing , that means you have to read the sticky about the nak error.

does your log show any errors??

and please don't pm me , it serves more purpose if you post things here so others might benefit from this thread in years to come.

Yay.

Well it was the legendary Nak error which was preventing my radio from being broadcasted to the world. =( I forwarded ports 8000 and 8001 on the router set up page and it all works perfect now. Thank you for your help.
