Music and Microphone delayed.

I've been testing my station with my friend. He says that he doesn't hear my music, or me on my microphone until 45 seconds to a minute after I play it. Is this normal? My server is in Texas, and we're both in Canada.... could this be the problem?

Lower the bitrate, higher the delay? So you're saying if I make my bit-rate higher, and the quality better, my friend will hear the music closer to when i play it? Or do you mean the other way around?

what Tucker means is that when you stream at 24kbps the delay could be around 1.5 or 2 minuts or more

when you stream at 128kbps the delay could be as low as 10-15 sec.

but keep in mind that if you stream from your own system your uploadspeed needs to be sufficient.

you can't stream to 10 people at 128kbps if your upload is only 384kbps!!!

Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music.

Alright, my problem is with the soundcard input. I want to play music and be able to talk just like that, so winamp input is no option. BUt soundcard input doesn't play from winamp, which I thought it did. Is there a way I can get soundcard input to play my music?

Ok nevermind, I had to open the mixer and tell it to use the master input.
