Sony Network Walkman WA-509
I did this for a client who seems to have backed out now, and I'm contemplating finishing it and seeking out a coder. Would anybody be interested in seeing this one finished? Maybe with a nice alpha effect to simulate the transparent case?

I posted a little story about that on custo.org and didn't feel like retyping it. But since you asked...
As I understood it he runs an online shop selling portable players and wanted to use it to promote his store. I pointed out that it was probably a good way to infuriate Sony, and he did eventually agree with my logic - right after the draft above was finished. ![]() And yeah, that was one of the two pictures that he provided for reference, they both had crappy views of the OLED though, so I had to find a couple more reference pictures on the Sony international sites. (And yeah, I did cut and paste the two buttons, they were the only thing I hadn't finished and my hand was cramping up from using a wacom, I'll redo them if the skin actually sees development) |

They might have gone soft over the past few years , but I doubt it. Call it Phony or something to avoid having the Sony legal hounds eating your leg for breakfast. |

how about "NOSY" or even "NOISY"? And I'd drop the walkman logo too.

Just remove the SONY branding or replace with WA5 instead... I'd love to see this skin finished. I even wanted to buy one of these MP3 players D:

I would not worry too much about the logo, there are quite a few Sony skins in the database.
They (Sony) have never requested they be removed. The thing with Sony was at one time I had a Sony skin, and someone in the forum asked if I had permission to use the logo, so I asked Sony and they said "NO". I renamed the skin and that was it. Never heard from them on any other skin in the database. http://www.winamp.com/skins/browse.p...r=S&query=Sony "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations." ~ Charles R. The walkman label rock now a days, and with the newest cellphone from Sony Ericcson - W800, the label grew even cooler
![]() And it can actually play MP3!!! unlike so many of the previous "MP3"-players from Sony. Looking nice to now, keep on!
