have a read there and don't beg for bandwidth , it makes you look very cheap and there is no such thing as free hosting. www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts Darkwave radio 24/7 -- ----------------------------------- Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music. www.irnb.nl worldwide station on the net for all people |

try to connect with the router ip number instead of the outside ip number.
some routers don't have the local loopback function , --> means you can not listen to yourself when using your outside ip Darkwave radio 24/7 -- ----------------------------------- Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music. www.irnb.nl worldwide station on the net for all people |

would you be using 127.0.0.1?
Be specific: what IP address are you using? If you have a router, you CAN use at least two from any PC on the LAN, and from the DNAS PC, there are three possibilities. From the internet, there is only one choice. loopback (127.0.0.1) -- means "this computer/myself" DNAS LAN IP -- ipconfig /all will tell ya Router WAN IP (internet IP) -- the router can tell you this. /* DigitalMixNYC | HiFi/44Khz | RealTimeRequestLine (uc) | HTML Codes: Now Playing/AlbumArt | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP */ Last edited by djSpinnerCee; 9th September 2005 at 20:08. |

That IP / port times out for me:
<09/09/05@14:54:07> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 70.179.118.186:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)) Have you done the port forward exercise? What is the LAN IP for the DNAS PC (192.168.?.?) You have to get your "numbers" right before you can solve this issue. You should "know" the following: The internet IP (the router's WAN IP) The LAN IP of all of your PCs |
