Quicktime stops playing stream after a few secs

I launched a shoutcast stream for a public radio station. Works great. I created metafiles (asx, ram, qtl, pls) so that users across all platforms can enjoy the stream.

But ive gotten 6 emails from Mac OSX users who say that the .qtl version starts fine in Quicktime but stops after less than 5 seconds. They are able to start it, but it just stops again in a few seconds.

Ive had no other problems. I cannot duplicate this behavior myself. I ran it all day on OSX with quicktime 7. And All day on OSX with quicktime 6. Also ran it for several hours on Windows with quicktime. Worked flawlessly.

But 6 different users cant be wrong. Something isn't working quite right.

Here is the link to my shoutcast stream (qtl version):

I created this file by loading the stream through QT, then saving as .mov, then renaming as .qtl. I also tried making the qtl file manually but I received complaints after this went live so I dont think thats it.

Any ideas?

The clarification is that this is only on MAC OSX, using quicktime. Shoutcast stream plays for 5 seconds, then stops. User has to press play again. 5 seconds later, it stops. etc etc.

No other issues being reported. I currently have 536 users listening to the shoutcast stream, with hundreds of connections over 1hour in length.

Please help me. This issue seems to affect many of my Mac OSX users, albeit not all of them (i personally can't duplicate the issue).

Thanks Craig. Yea seems no one can help me Can you point me in a direction? At this point, I dont have a clue what the cause is. Could be network related, OS related or QT related.

Any mac users out there that can test my streams?

i guess its just a case of getting more info out of those that are having issues. You'll find most people on here use windows with winamp.
